Admissions
If you are serious about your faith, have an inquiring mind, and have a heart for those from other cultures who don't have an opportunity to learn about Jesus, we encourage you to apply to Insight. Admissions is rolling, however students should apply early to secure their place in the class. Preference will be given to students who have an interest in missions or an international career.

Application Deadline
May 1 is the regular application deadline (late fees apply to applications mailed after May 1). Class sizes are limited to approximately 15 students to maximize discussion dynamics, and admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis, so students are encouraged to apply early for a priority decision.

SAT & ACT Requirements
Applicants must take the SAT or ACT and report scores on the application form. If you have not yet taken the SAT or ACT, you must register for the next available date. The SAT or ACT will be required for admission to the credit-granting college for students seeking to earn college credit for INSIGHT.

Credit vs. Certificate
Students must choose to either take Insight for college credit or earn a certificate from the U.S. Center for World Mission (non-credit option). See below for more information, and visit the Tuition page for differences in program cost. Feel free to contact Insight at (626) 398-2297 or insight@uscwm.org for help with the credit/certificate decision.

Taking Insight for Credit
Up to 32 units of transferable college credit are available for taking the INSIGHT program through partner colleges. Currently, credit is offered through Northwestern College or through William Carey International University. Students choosing to take Insight for credit will receive an official college transcript showing credit earned. If you would like to earn college credit for Insight, you must apply to a partner college after acceptance to the Insight program. The application process is separate from that of the INSIGHT program, with an additional application fee, and you will not be considered a student with the college until the process is complete and the institution of your choice accepts you. Credit students must be accepted by a partner college prior to starting Insight.

Certificate Option
Students desiring to take INSIGHT for knowledge and personal enrichment, who are not interested in earning college credit, may earn a certificate instead. Program requirements are the same as for credit students with two exceptions: 1) Instead of writing exams, certificate students write 5-page reflection essays, and 2) Certificate students do not have to write term papers. Students in good standing will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the program, which may fulfill mission agencies’ Bible/Missions education requirements.
